Amount既是不可數(shù)名詞，又是可數(shù)名詞。表示總數(shù)、總額、總值的時(shí)候是不可數(shù)名詞，如：You will receive a bill for the full amount.表示數(shù)量的時(shí)候是可數(shù)名詞，如：We've had an enormous amount of help from people.

一、amount用作名詞

1.amount用于表示“量”“額”，如分量、金額等。

2.amount of后一般接不可數(shù)名詞，有時(shí)也可接復(fù)數(shù)可數(shù)名詞，此名詞被視為某一“總量”或“綜述”。

二、amount用作動(dòng)詞

1.amount用作動(dòng)詞的基本意思是“合計(jì),共計(jì)”,引申可指“等同,接近”。

2.amount是不及物動(dòng)詞,常與介詞to連用。
